Extremely versatile and accurate means to test.

How long will this tester put loads on a battery? Is there a predetermined time or will it load the batteries until it's turned off?
The operator manually applies the carbon pile load, and holds it for 15 seconds using the included timer.

Can you tell me why it is not compatible with 6 volt golf cart batteries that are used in scissor lifts. These batteries are usually 220-242 amps.
SB-5/2 is a carbon pile tester, it puts a heavy load on the battery for 15 seconds to determine if the battery has the output to start a cold engine. A golf cart battery is a deep cycle type, it delivers a much lower current over a long period of time. Carbon pile testers are not advised to test this type of battery. Unfortunately, we do not have anything that would be able to test the deep cycle battery that the golf cart has.
