QUESTIONS:
Where should I mount the 5283 antenna on my boat. My old Nordskog was right on top of the dash
The GPS antenna should be mounted with a clear view of the sky. On the dash should be fine as long as as there is no metal directly above.

The GPS Antenna is listed as being magnetic, but does not indicate if it's for mounting, or part of its internal mechanism. Will mounting it on top of a metal surface and the magnet attaching cause the GPS speedometer to incorrectly read vehicle speed?
Thank you for your question. The magnet is for mounting. Utilizing the magnet to mount the antenna would have no effect on vehicle speed reading.

Where could i mount the antenna on a 69' vw bug? The windshield is pretty flat? Could I glue it to the bottom on the back window? Any ideas greatly appreciated.
I have a 32 Ford 5 window (fiberglass Body) and mounted mine by the back window. I get great reception. You could probably mount in trunk close to the front of the car.

Will sender #5283 work with a Speedometer #1988?
Thank you for your question. 1988 is an electric speedometer and needs our GPS module #5289 in order to function off GPS.
