Which Wire is the ground and which one is the positive....I am wiring to an MSD Grid Ignition and no longer want to use the Shift Light control on the tach, but want to run it through the Grid system....

Thank you for your inquiry. The harness is simply designed to plug and play with our shift light tachometers. That said, the white stripe is 12 volt, black is ground.

Is this just a standard 2 wire cable? Nothing special? Could i extend myself? Only need about 6 inches not 3 feet.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Yes, you can extend it. We'd recommend solder connections. We use 18 gauge wire in the 3257.
