QUESTIONS:

When installing a mechanical fuel pressure gauge on my 4 bt 390 Cummins in my backhoe,  do you need a snubber if you are using an isolator?

Asked by: ROM41
Thank you for your question. This is not necessary on a mechanical fuel pressure gauge.

Is hose kit #3227 required or could this snubber be installed directly into a tee in the fuel line?

Asked by: Myles75
Thank you for your question. The snubber could be installed directly if it fits the port, however, as you add adapters and fittings to the end of the sending unit it can get fairly top heavy. This can cause it to be more drastically affected by vibration and lead to a premature failure. That is why we recommend using #3227 and remote mounting the sensor.

Is this unit used on '04 Cummins Diesels

Asked by: John Poopman
Thank you for your question. Yes, we would recommend using this snubber on '04 cummins diesels. It will not have any negative effects if you use the snubber and you do not actually need it, so if you are unsure if you need it or not, the safe bet is to use it.

Do we need this if installing the sensor on a FASS system?

Asked by: Tom234
Thank you for your question. We recommend using a snubber on all '98-02 applications regardless of if they have aftermarket parts or not. The snubber will not have any negative affects if it is used when it is not necessary, but there could be negative affects if it is not used and it should be.
