REVIEWS:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fit The inside diameter of this fitting is too small to allow the autometer water temp sending unit that came with my C2 gauge to fit inside. I had to drill it out and then re-tap the 1/8 -27 threads. Not sure why autometer would make this part not work with their own gauge sending units. only took 5 mins but still something that shouldn’t have to be done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only one I could find If you need to connect an oil pressure gauge to the port where the oil pressure sending unit goes on a Mercedes Benz 300 SDL and others I'm sure, you need this adapter. I bought a generic oil pressure kit that has 8 or 10 adapters, none of them correct. Shipping was slow, put the ad did say up to 5 business days.

QUESTIONS:

What is the maximum torque spec for this?

Asked by: Evan95
Thank you so much for contacting us. Our supplier on these bushings does not publish a torque spec, but a good rule of thumb is to get them just snug enough to crush the washer. They do not need to be very tight to seal. It is also worth mentioning, when using one of these for water temp on an LS engine and an AutoMeter Air Core gauge (1 wire sending unit), use the shallow depth sending unit and don't attempt to drill out the adapter. Here's a link to the shallow depth sender: https://www.autometer.com/shallow-depth-electric-temperature-sender-250-300-and-340-deg.html Hope this helps!

Is part # 2277 available as an extension adapter? Extra water passage clearance is needed for a temperature sensor. Thank you.

Asked by: Mike Hansen
Hi Mike, thank you so much for the question. Sorry, no extended version available. This is the only M12X1.5 adapter we offer.

Is the female M12 and the male NPTF?  The threads in the female portion appear smaller than the male end.  That is why I’m wondering if description could be opposite by mistake?
