QUESTIONS:

Will this work on my autometer pro-comp ultra lite coolant temp gauge

Asked by: Stanky
It will depend on the gauge you have. For our Short Sweep Electric gauges, you will need to use P/N: 2258. For our Full Sweep Electronic gauges, you will need to use P/N: 2252. For further assistance please contact us at 866-248-6357.

Hey, What is the resistance scale of this sensor. Looking to re-purpose a water temp or oil pressure gauge into a fuel level gauge as my application only allows for a 1.5" gauge. Already running the 1.5" auto gauges so they can all look the same.

Asked by: Luke_Fez
Thank you for your question. You will find the specs for the 2385 in this link: https://www.autometer.com/sensor_specs

How do I place the sending unit wire on the temp sensor ? Mine won't read the temp is it wired up wrong?

Asked by: Anonymous
The sending unit signal wire would be screwed down but the nut on the sending unit. One thing that can stop the sending unit from giving the gauge a proper signal is having teflon tape on the sending units threads or if you are using the wrong sending unit with the gauge you have. For further diagnosis please give us a call at 866-248-6357.

I have a autometer oil sensor gages Brand New is it the same sensor as the one for coolant senser both gage are the same range

Asked by: BigDem
For an AutoMeter gauge they would use P/N: 2258 and share the same sensor. This sensor is for our AutoGage line.

What is difference between part#2385 And part#990344?

Asked by: erat
The two sending units have different resistance range scales. So these two sensors are not the same as P/N: 2385 is for our AutoGage line and P/N: 990344 is for our Marine series.

Will this work with the LS style engine for a stand alone gauge?

Asked by: Cookseyb
I would recommend using P/N: 2259 with any of our water temp gauges as that sensor is only used with our AutoGage line.
