Our store " O'Reilly autoparts " has the bva-230 , the update port is messed up from people not seeming to know how to put a simple plug into a device . Does autometer repair these ports ???

Hello. I have one of these meters where I work (FleetPride) and for a number of years it worked great. However now as soon as you attach it to a battery the bottom coil starts glowing red and at times will even smoke. It will not test correctly.

I have one of these meters and as soon as I attach it to a battery the bottom coil very quickly is glowing red hot. It didn't do this before and now it reads every battery as faulty.
