Family of Falcons

Mark Sword Jr.’s grandfather founded the Falcon Club of America (FCA) in 1979. His member number was #1, his son was #1000 and Mark is #10000. Mark’s son even received his great uncle’s old number, #100. Mark had a love for the 1965 Sprint after seeing fellow FCA member and life-long family friend Jim Hatcher’s Sprint at the FCA national shows. Naturally, in 2014, Mark purchased his dream car, a 1965 Ford Falcon Sprint in all original condition. His plan was to keep the car mostly original, but after experiencing overheating issues, he thought “Why not do a full build?”. He turned to Shahan Performance in Cabot, Arkansas for his fabrication needs. Mark drives it to every show he attends, no matter how far away. It has been awarded the FCA National Best of Show and multiple other national awards thanks to great support and sponsors, including AutoMeter.
