Thank you for your question. You will need extra automotive wire to complete the installation and this gauge has white LED backlighting.

is a tach adapter required if i have an MSD 6AL box?

This 4999 should connect directly to the tach out on your MSD box without adapters.

Can this tack be mounted in the dash without the shift light
Thank you for your question. Yes, this tach will fit in a 4-5/8" hole. If you do not plan to use the shift light, I would recommend getting tachometer #4998 instead as it is the in-dash version of this tachometer.

How I replace the bulb of the dash light? (numbers light when you turn on the lights)
Thank you for your question. The Ultra-Lite II gauges such as this one use LEDs that are mounted on the circuit board. These bulbs cannot be replaced.

The rpm adjustor on mine quit working and I can’t set it to where I want it to light up. How do I fix this?

Will this work on a Harley?
