QUESTIONS:

Yes I purchased a six set of gauges I have a question on the RPMs the needle is sitting on three and I was wondering if that is a problem or is it supposed to be sitting on zero I haven't hooked anything up yet I just received them today thank you

Asked by: bennytomany
Thank you for contacting us. That is normal to see on a brand new gauge. The pointer locks at RPM but once power is applied it will reset.

2 years ago I purchased an Autometer in-dash electric tachometer. I recently added a new MSD GAL-2 programmable ignition box. The tach is not working with the signal from this. Does your tach work with the MSD box? Is there anything I need if not?

Asked by: ToddV
Hello ToddV, thank you for contacting us. We’re not aware of any incompatibility issues between our tachometer and your MSD box. Make sure you do have a good engine ground since the ground is also a reference ground for the signal. We would recommend giving our Product Specialists a call at 815-899-0801 or sending them an email at [email protected] to go over some troubleshooting.

Can I hook up a shift light to this tach

Asked by: jams234
Hi, This tachometer does not support a shift light. you may use it in conjunction with our stand alone shift light part number 5343: https://www.autometer.com/black-dpss-tube-level-1.html Thanks, Jim

do you have one identical to this one but 3-3/8" or could you make one custom?

Asked by: jonleon
Thank you for connecting with us. We do offer a 3-3/8" version, which is model 6297: https://www.autometer.com/3-3-8-tach-10-000-rpm-in-dash-cobalt.html It appears slightly different in the photo when compared to the 5 inch since we're showing a nighttime representation.
