This speedometer is designed to be powered completely off when the vehicle is not in use. Calibration and odometer reading are permanent, and not reliant upon any continuous power source.

Hi, i have a silver face pro comp ultra light Speedometer from 2004 # 4489 its not digital. can i please get a wire diagram for it. i would like to install it in my 1969 VW Bug.

How does this wire up to my 4LE60 transmission
Thank you for your question. You will need to splice off the VSS (HIGH) from your PCM and send that signal to your speedometer. If you have further questions, please give our tech line a call at 866-248-6357.

Will this come complete to install 4LE60 transmission? Or is there other items I need to buy to get this to work?
Hello! If there is an electronic VSS (vehicle speed sensor) equipped on the 4LE60 trans, 4489 will work off of that VSS. This does not include the actual wiring.

This speedometer should work in your application. You will likely need a vehicle speed sensor in your older Ford. Check the 5292:

I need a speedo for my project truck. I have the factory sensor in the tailstock of the Nv4500 5speed and the abs sensor in the Dana70. Which would be the better choice for the signal to the electric speedo? The rear axle sensor would have about 80,000.
Thank you for your inquiry. We typically advise connecting to the VSS signal at the tailshaft rather than the rear axle sensor.

Will this work for use with a Chevy LS Engine?
Thank you for your question. The vehicle needs to have a VSS in order for the gauge to work. You can always splice into an existing VSS to feed the gauge or purchase P/N: 5291 if you are going from mechanical to electric for the speedometer.
