one more question. if my vtx 1300 ecm has no tach signal can the ignition pulse be used? thanks, roddyo
I believe your VTX will have a yellow wire in the headlight bucket which is a dedicated tach signal wire.

hi will this work with my 2004 honda vtx 1300? not the fit just the electronics and how many, if any, trip odometers does it have? thanks,roddy
The unit has a TRIP 1 and TRIP 2. As for this working in your application it is universal so as long as a VSS and tach signal is fed to the gauge it will work. For further assistance please give us a call at 866-248-6356.

I have the 5” direct fit fat bob speedo/ tach combo. The tach was working fine until I calibrated the speedo doing the 2 mile method. Fixed the speed but now my Rpm’s are reading half?
It sounds like during the speedometer calibration, you may have also affected the tach calibration. See the instruction below, and set it back to 1 PPR. This should fix it.

I have a tach mounted on the dash of my sand rail. I would like to replace with this. How can i mount this?

will this fit a 2016 Heritage softail?
It's very specifically designed for the 95-03 Road King and 96-03 Dyna Wide Glide and Softail (Except Deuce). While it may fit your 2016, many of the later bikes went to the CAN-bus system and our tachometers are not compatible.
