Hello ! I wish to mount this adapter on my Chevrolet Impala from 1965 on the rear side left of the engine. What is the thread that goes in the motor block ?

Asked by: B7ST
This adapter is 3/8" NPT male. I advise checking the block, as most GM motors from that time would have a 1/2" NPT port.

Is a 2271 adapter the correct length to use with a 3332 Auto Meter gage ? what will the assembled probe depth be ?

Asked by: TonyG
Hello TonyG, thank you for your inquiry. That is the correct adapter if the probe is too long for the water jacket.

I have a Autometer mechanical temp gauge with 3/8 pipe fitting and need a mounting nut. The engine i as chevy LS and I hace an ICT Billet adapter with a 3/8 female pipe fitting. Do you have a 3/8x3/8 mounting nut or an adapter with mounting nut for LS

Asked by: greencar
Hi, The non-removable sealing nut on all of our mechanical temp gauges is 5/8-18 UNF. The standard 3/8" NPT adapter is 2263: https://www.autometer.com/3-8-brass-npt-mechanical-temperature-adapter.html We have no way to adapt our mechanical temp gauges to the LS block. Thanks, Jim

What size is the female end of this fitting? I assume your trans temp sender will screw into it? Also do you have one of these fittings with the male end 5/16? I am tapping into the trans cooler line and have a 5/16 Tee to match the trans cooler line.

Asked by: Manticore
Hi there, thank you for connecting with us. The female end is 5/8-18 UNF, which matches up to the sealing nut on our mechanical temperature gauges. For teeing into a transmission line, we offer our 2287 Transmission Temperature Manifold. This will include the 5/16" compression fittings and a 1/2" NPT port. Our mechanical gauges and electric gauges will each include the 1/2" NPT fitting to adapt to the 2287 Trans Temp Manifold.
