REVIEWS:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Gauge I just received this gauge and it is beautiful - simple, elegant, and easy to read. I did a quick function test, and it works perfectly with my GM HEI distributor tach signal output connection. Before checking it out, I called Customer/Tech Support to clarify the inline fuse amperage for the hot wire; the instructions say 1 amp, Tech Support said 3 amp fuse is OK. When I disconnected the gauge after the test, the needle stayed at the last measured RPM. This is a feature of the "air core" design. I think this gauge is going to be a great permanent addition to my street rod.

Are any of the antique tachometers cases stainless steel or chrome? Are the cases a dull or basic plastic? I want to mount this on a motorcycle as a stand alone gauge.

Asked by: Tommyv333
Thank you for your question. We do not recommend mounting this gauge on a motorcycle as it is not weather or water resistant.

How does this tach adjust/calibrate for diesel engines? Thank you

Asked by: Cummins
Thank you for your question. This tach will not work on a diesel engine by itself. You will need to use this tach with our diesel tach adapter #9112 to work on a diesel application.

I'm looking at six gauges to fit in my newly built T-Bucket. I found your Antique Beige series and noted that the P/N 1849 GPS speedo has a "domed" lens. I could not find the 2 1/16 gauges plus the 3 3/8 tach to match. Are the fuel, oil press, water temp

Asked by: Owl1947
Thank you for your question. All the Antique Beige series gauges have a domed lens, including all the 2-1/16" gauges.

we have this tach for our project truck with a 12 valve 5.9 cummins diesel - what tach ''sender'' do we need to use?

Asked by: bkvail
The only diesel sender we offer that would be compatible is this 9112 Tach Adapter that uses a pick-up that mounts to the alternator: https://www.autometer.com/diesel-tach-adapter.html Good luck with the project!
