QUESTIONS:
Do you think this Tach will work with a 1931 Mod A? There is a lot of stray RF with that engine.
Thank you for your question. It can work but you would need to make sure the signal is filtered and the tach also has a good ground source to help prevent any RF noise from altering the signal.

I have a 63 Studebaker Avanti that still has the original tach. The existing system which is not functioning has a separate sending unit and tach . My question is, would a Sport Comp Autometer tach eliminate the need for the sending unit?
Hi Tom! Our tachometers are electronic and would pick a signal off the negative side of the coil on an original 63 Studebaker, eliminating the need for the sender.

i have a 5315 and this 3996. do i have to still buy the 9112? im using a mechanical diesel engine.
Thank you for your question. P/N: 5315 is a replacement part for P/N: 9112. In order for tachometer P/N: 3996 to work properly on a diesel engine you will need to purchase P/N: 9112.

does this work on a diesel engine?
Thank you for your inquiry. The 3996 is not designed for use with diesel engines. It will work with a diesel if used with our 9112 Diesel Tach Adapter:

Will this fit my 1994 ford ranger 4.0L V6?
Thank you for your question. None of our gauges are vehicle specific. They are made to fit in specific sized holes. We would not have anything made to fit into your OEM dash so you would have to provide a mounting solution such as a gauge panel or pod to hold the gauges. As far as compatibility, yes this gauge will certain work just fine with the system on your '94 ranger.
