QUESTIONS:
the VDO I have has a bracket that mounts in the center of the hub just below where the speedometer cable screws in. Just a larger thread with a nut and it pushes the bracket against back of dash to make it tight. what mount has this one have.
This product has a bracket similar to these:

But obviously larger to fit the gauge.

This looks like it could be used as a very close replacement for a VDO Cockpit series, cable driven, 3-1/8” speedometer. Other than the chrome bezel am I correct in that? Mainly concerned with hookup and fit.
While we can't speak for VDO replacement, this speedometer will indeed drop into a 3-1/8" hole, and has a 5/8-18 fitting with .104" square key way, driven at a 1:1 ratio, 60 mph=1,000 RPM.

Thank you for your question. This exact speedometer is not available in KM/H, but we do offer a Designer Black speedometer in KM/H (model #1487-M).

wanting to know if this comes in 3 3/8th size
Thank you for reaching out to us. We offer several 3-3/8" mechanical speedometers, but not in the Designer Black series. Currently we offer only an electronic 1480 and GPS option 1449.

I have a 1988 chevy s10 and was wondering if it would work with its 700r4
Thank you so much for contacting us. Our mechanical speedometers are a universal product and will work with any transmission/transfer case with a cable output. They are designed to read 60 MPH at 1000 rpm. We recommend a company called Speedometer Services (414.463.6660) for cables and the associated gears necessary to calibrate the speedometer to your vehicle. Hope this helps!
