QUESTIONS:

Is the output signal proportional to the input signal? if the input count is 74,000 pulses per mile is the output the same? Or is the output based on 16 pulses per revolution (10k per mile in my instance) once calibrated. Thanks!

Asked by: JohnHenry
The speedometer will take the pulse input from your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Once the speedometer has been calibrated to the VSS after your 2-mile drive, then the speedometer will base its MPH off of the pulses generated by the VSS while driving. Is there a speed sensor that can connect to a mechanical speedo cable or transmission speedo output on a ‘77 MG Midget. I want to replace the mechanical speedometer with electronic.

Unfortunately we do not offer one. For further assistance please give us a call at 866-248-6356.

My odometer light does not shut off

Asked by: Daniel S.
The odometer in this product is lit anytime the unit is powered up. It is not controlled by the dial lighting circuit.

Does this particular gauge come with a black trim ring (not chrome) and will it work on a single wire feed from my EZ-TCU transmission control unit?

Asked by: DC 56 F100
We do not offer this model or something directly comparable with a black trim ring. While the size wouldn't be the same, our Z-Series offers all black models with a black bezel. Any type of VSS, sine wave, or square wave will drive this speedometer. If your wire output is essentially a VSS (vehicle speed sensor) wire, designed to provide speed data into to an instrument or computer, it should drive this speedometer.
