QUESTIONS:

I am looking for two engine coolant temperature gauges for my 1928 Model A ratrod with a 8BA flathead motor. This car is exposed to moisture and stored outside. I am looking for gauges that will last in this environment. (waterproof)

This is the only electric gauge we would advise for your application: https://www.autometer.com/2-1-16-gauge-water-temp-300-f-stepper-motor-w-peak-warn-extreme-environment.html This mechanical gauge would work as well: https://www.autometer.com/2-5-8-water-temp-120-240-f-6-tubing-mech.html

Does this gauge have a domed glass lens or is it flat?

Asked by: john9660
Hello John9660, thank you for your question. The Old Tyme White Series does feature a domed lens. We’ve realized this is a key feature that should be listed on the site and we’re in the process of updating that now.

Is this product adaptable to a vintage vehicle with a 12V positive ground?

Asked by: mackbro
This will not work with a positive earth system. You would need to use a updated battery in the vehicle and have the gauge ran off of that.

Does this come with the brouden cable and coiled cable cover?

Asked by: Fiddy5
This kit only comes with the gauge, sending unit, and adapters needed for installation. You will have to supply the wiring needed for install.
