QUESTIONS:

Will this work with a 1997 Ford Expedition?

Asked by: Madz26
Hi, This trans temp gauge will work with virtually any automatic transmission. The sender requires a 1/8" NPT port. You may need a 2260 weld-in bung for the transmission pan: https://www.autometer.com/1-8-npt-weld-in-adapter.html Or an inline adapter: https://www.autometer.com/temperature-manifold-adapter-for-3-8-o-d-tubing.html https://www.autometer.com/temperature-manifold-adapter-for-5-16-od-tubing.html Thanks, Jim

I currently have a deep aluminum pan on my transmission. Do you have a weld on connector for this?   Thank you.

Asked by: bobonthecoast
You will need P/N: 2260.

Do you have a Wiring diagram for Phantom transmission gauge, want to make sure it’s hooked up right before I buy another gauge, thanks!

Asked by: “T” Roy
Thank you for your inquiry. Look for the yellow banner on the page you linked for 5757 that says " instruction download" The wiring diagram is there.

What does the face look like at night illuminated?

Asked by: JBuzz
Thank you for your inquiry. Phantom gauges use incandescent lights mounted behind the dial. Light is reflected off an angled ring behind the lens onto the dial, indirectly lighting the dial.

I am building a 1974 Ford Bronco. I installed this Autometer Transmission Temperature gauge. After starting the engine, the transmission temperature gauge starts climbing. It gets to 250 degrees by time the engine gets to temprature. Bad sending unit?

Can I tap my aluminum pan and install either 5he 3/8" or 1/2" threaded bungs in the pan?

Asked by: Dana
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the 5757. You may drill and tap an aluminum pan to accept either of the adapters, or the sender directly. The sender is 1/8" NPT.

Will this fit a e40d transmision

Asked by: Jflora29
Thank you for the question. This is not a vehicle or application specific gauge, but will come with an 1/8" NPT sending unit (part number 2258). Unlike Water Temp and Oil Pressure, there's often not a dedicated port to access Trans Temp. Some transmissions have a pressure port, which will accept an 1/8" sender, but sometimes our 2259 shallow depth sender is required due to internal clearance issues. As another option we also offer our 2286 and 2287 Trans Temp Manifolds, which will "T" into your pressure or return line.
