What led bulb do these take?
This gauge use LEDs that are mounted directly to the circuit board. This is what gives it the through the dial face lighting instead of traditional backlighting. Unfortunately due to this it cannot be changed like a traditional light bulb.

Hello, We are looking for a factory match 2 1/16 fuel rail pressure gauge for a 2006 Dodge There are two part number listed for 3rd gen dodge 8556 and 8593. What gauge do we use for the 5.9 common rail 2006?
Thank you for your question. The 8586 is designed for use with 5.9L trucks, the 8593 is for 6.7L trucks.

Can i use the 8586 gauge with the 2246 transducer?
Hi Steelerd,
The 8586 is designed to wire directly to the output from the OEM rail pressure sensor. It does not have the correct harness or plug to mate up with the 2246 sender and would not read correctly if it was somehow adapted.

On the installation instructions says to just strip the wire could I cut the wire do the next steps and use heat shrink or that will give me erroneous readings
Hi Kirby, thank you for the question. Since the factory sensor is critical the truck, we recommend leaving the factory wire intact and not risk cutting it completely.

I have recently purchased a 8586 rail pressure gauge. The instructions show a white wire for lighting but the plug-in harness does not have a white wire. It has one red, one purple and two blacks. Please advise as to how I power the lighting.
