QUESTIONS:

I have a 2001 6361 Cobalt fuel pressure gage that has stopped working.  what is the most likely problem the sending unit or the gauge?  The gange shows 100 psi sometimes and zero (0) other times.  Can I get the sending unit for a 1991 GMC Syclone.  Thanks

Asked by: fudge1
Thank you for your question. The issue is more likely the sending unit than the gauge, but there are a variety of possibilities. We only make one sending unit that is compatible with that gauge but it should certainly be compatible with your application. I would recommend reaching out to our support team so they can help figure out exactly what is going on and the steps to take to get that fixed. You can contact them at 866.248.6357 or https://www.autometer.com/contacts

Is there another adapter kit I need to buy to install this fuel pressure gauge on my 06 c6 ls2 fuel rail?

Asked by: smokenssz
Thank you for reaching out to us. The LS will have a -4AN fitting on the fuel rail. We usually recommend purchasing either our 3227, 3228, or 3229 braided stainless steel tubing kit, which will adapt to the fitting on the fuel rail and will allow you to remote mount the sender included in the 6163.

I have a supercharged 2014 mustang gt with approx 750 hp.  Where is the fuel pressure being measured? And what pressure range should I consider for the most accurate gauge?

Asked by: Joe1971
Thank you for your question. Fuel pressure is typically measured off the Fuel Rail. While we cannot say for certain what pressure you will see, 0-100psi should certainly work for your application. If you have more questions regarding your application or installation support, please contact our tech support team at 866.248.6357 or request help via email here: https://www.autometer.com/contacts

Thank you so much for the question. Yes, our fuel pressure gauge will work on your Dodge Cummins. We also have a 0-30 psi model 6161 that is the more common range. Depending on the year, this set-up may be required: https://www.autometer.com/resources/index/faq_view/id/8 We also have an install guide here for the '98-02: https://www.autometer.com/resources/index/guide_view/id/11

Hi Blaine, thank you for connecting with us. This Cobalt Fuel Pressure gauge will use the 2246 sender, which you can find here: https://www.autometer.com/100-psi-pressure-transducer.html If you need the wire harness, you'll need model 5227, which you'll find here: https://www.autometer.com/wire-harness-full-sweep-electric-pressure-gauges.html
