DESCRIPTION:

Running too lean while enjoying spirited driving in your vehicle is one of the leading causes of expensive engine damage. AutoMeter’s Narrowband Air/Fuel Gauges pair with older Oxygen Sensors to warn of lean burn conditions under heavy engine load. Connects directly to the factory O2 sensor on many applications, or uses the AutoMeter 2244 Narrowband O2 sensor. Not compatible with 5 wire air/fuel sensors.
Feature Points
  • Compatible with factory narrowband O2 sensors (0-1V)
  • May require model 2244 if the vehicle does not have a factory narrowband primary O2 sensor
  • Features LED radial bar graph display (gauge does not have provision for backlight)
  • Will not work with wideband O2 sensors (0-5V) - please check your specific application before purchase

I have this gauge on my 2011 Corvette along with other AutoMeter gauges and the LED’s are difficult to see during daylight hours.  No problem at night however.  Any suggestions to enhance the LED’s for daylight viewing?

Asked by: wuzfuzz
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there wouldn't be a way to enhance them unless you are able to angle them differently within the cab or perhaps put a visor over the gauge to assist with the lighting.

Does this only come in narrow band? I have one on a 2001 Ford Lightning I bought and it is pegged on rich and has never moved since I bought the truck. My tuner says the mixture is being regulated by the PCM. Do I need a wideband for my vehicle?

Asked by: fred d.
Thank you for your question. This is ran off of a OEM narrowband sensor or our P/N: 2244. For tuning purposes we recommend a wideband.
