QUESTIONS:

Removing the dash on 68 mustang & saw a pipe connected to the back of the water temp gauge (liquid filled garage). When I undid the nut some kind of oily substance leaked out. have I done any damage and stats the correct way to remove the garage

Asked by: Goldie
If the nut holding the capillary tube was removed from the back of the gauge then the ether gas inside would be allowed to escape. If that happened the gauge would need to be replaced.

I am looking for liquid filled silver faced gauges. Are only certain models/types liquid filled?

Asked by: Bowzer46
Thank you for your question. We have a limited amount of liquid filled gauge options, however, we do have silver faced ones available. In our Ultra-Lite series there are Pro-Comp Silver gauges that are liquid filled. One of these is our part #4621

We have the autometer 5431 mechanical water gauge. We accidentally broke the line that goes to the manifold. Can we replace the line only or do we have to buy another gauge? If the line is sold separately what is the product number so we can buy it.
