Can product #2283, or #2282 be used with the #3432 water temp gauge? Are there adapters for this set up? Any videos?

Asked by: EJL68
Thank you for your question. Yes, our radiator hose adapters will work with a mechanical temperature gauge like part number 3432. We don't have any videos showing the install, but the instructions for the adapter have a great diagram showing the install process. That can be found at: https://www.autometer.com/pub/media/manual/2650-1167.pdf

Can the water Temp gauge # 3432 be repaired? the capillary tube cracked. What are my options ?

Asked by: 67Bird
Unfortunately we don’t necessarily repair these. We service them which is usually a replacement at a discounted price. You have to consider shipping costs to and from and it’s often comparable to buying a new one.

What is the thread and pitch of the nut that comes on the sending unit? I am trying to figure out what I need. The nut that is on the sender is ever so slightly smaller than the hole in my zz4 aluminium head. Thanks

Asked by: Iroc
Thank you for your inquiry. The sealing nut permanently affixed to the capillary tube is 5/8-18 UNF. It must be screwed into one of our adapter nuts to effect a water seal. If the port in your motor is approximately the same size as the sealing nut, it is most likely 3/8" NPT. I advise checking this with a thread gauge. once verified, I advise our 2263 adapter: https://www.autometer.com/3-8-brass-npt-mechanical-temperature-adapter.html
