QUESTIONS:

1989 Chevy Suburban V1500 5.7 My O.E.M. oil pressure switch not only displays oil pressure but also activates the fuel pump. By replacing it with the 2242 switch to work with the Auto Meter Air-Core oil pressure gauge, will my engine start AND run???

Asked by: Gator
This gauge is a passive read only device. You will need to retain the OEM sender for any special functions and use a T Fitting to use our sender as well.

I have this guage and have gone through 3 sending units in 4 years. It is not located near an exhaust or anything. What am I doing wrong?

Asked by: dlockett99
Thank you for your question. This will likely require some back and forth dialogue with our Tech Support Team, so we’d recommend sending us a detailed email here: https://www.autometer.com/contacts/

I have a factory sensor that outputs 0-5V reference. I also have your 4427 oil pressure gauge. Does this gauge work with 0-5V reference?

Asked by: Trevor72
This gauge works off an ohm resistance. You will need to utilize the sending unit that comes with the kit P/N: 2242.

https://www.autometer.com/100-psi-electric-oil-pressure-sensor.html Thank you for your inquiry. This gauge uses the 2242 sender shown in the link above. Our gauge will not work with a GM pressure sender.
