REVIEWS:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome gauge Installed this in a 1984 CJ7 with a stock 258 cu in I6 engine. Sending unit fit perfectly. Gauge indicated 55psi on first start with cold oil and 25psi at operating temp. Backlight flickered a bit until I bent one of the socket contacts a little…works perfectly now. I also used the Autometer triple gauge bracket for the installation. I’m totally happy with this purchase and would buy it again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed I hooked this gauge up and it jumped up with no hesitation to above 100 PSI. I am not sure if the sender or gauge is bad. Hopefully I can get some support.

Will this work with a 1975 Jeep CJ with a 258 engine?

Asked by: Rob67
Thank you for your question. Yes, it is compatible, though it’s important to know that our gauges aren’t vehicle specific.

Wanted to install an electric oil pressure gauge on a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. Can you tell me what it entails?I’ve seen a video to where it involves removing he I take manifold. Can you confirm this for me please? Thank you

Asked by: Cdiluz
You would have to remove the manifold in order to reach the sensor. Another option would be to use a sandwich plate for the oil filter.

What does the back look like

Asked by: Tracyann
Hi Tracyann, thank you for the question. Our best shot of the back of the gauge would be in the instructions for our universal wiring harness: https://www.autometer.com/media/manual/2650-1797.pdf

Is this gauge electric or mechanical, does it require a sending unit, is what is the part number. Thanks

Asked by: jeep1986
Thank you for the question. The 880240 is an electric gauge and will include the sender. The 2242 Sender is what we include with the gauge. You can see that sender here: https://www.autometer.com/100-psi-electric-oil-pressure-sensor.html
