Hi, I have just installed this exact gauge along with the matching fuel gauge, the light bulbs are very very dim , they don't have LED bulbs as advertised. Can I change them to be LED? My Tacho & Speedo have LED's & are very very bright in comparison

I want to ad Oil/Water/Amp gauges to my 1967 Camaro that only has idiot lights. I would like for those original dash warning lights to continue working. Do you have a basic gauge set that allows for this?
You can use any of our 3 pc gauge sets and still retain the factory senders to allow both the gauge and idiot lights to still work.

Need to replace an Autometer oil pressure gauge. The sticker on it says 7 12 96 and also 2634. It needs to work with a 0-90 ohm sending unit
We make no 0-90 ohm oil pressure gauges. Your gauge and any replacement from Auto Meter will only work with the included 240 to 33 ohm 2242 sender.

Can u get this gauge in mechanical as the electric doesn’t give a correct reading
Thank you for your question. The Designer Black II series does not offer a mechanical oil pressure gauge. If there was an issue with your electric gauge, you can contact support by calling 815.895.8141 and we would be happy to help you get it working properly. Our electric instruments are equally as accurate as our mechanical gauges, in some cases our full-sweep electric gauges are more accurate than their mechanical counterparts.

Is there an image of the oil pressure sender and/or the dimensions? I have limited space in a Sunbeam Imp re-using the original port.
Hi Garm, thank you so much for contacting us. I've attached an image of the dimensions of the 2242 oil pressure sender. With that in mind, you can always remote mount your sending unit if space it tight. We very commonly will use a braided hose kit to do this in installations here at our shop. This is the kit we use:

I'm looking for this gauge with a black ring instead of chrome for a match to a set I have from 2006 and can you tell me if the glass is flat where mine is dome shaped
Hi Chris, thank you for the question. This model does have a domed lens, but please note this is our Designer Black II series, which features through-the-dial, LED lighting. If you have a series with a black bezel from 2006, it's likely our earlier original Designer Black, which featured a black nickel bezel. While these are being phased out in place of a chrome bezel version, you can still order the black nickel bezel option as model 1427.
