DESCRIPTION:

Monitoring the temperature of the air going into your engine is critical to safely extracting the most power from your engine, especially when dealing with forced induction. Cool, dense air will always make more power and contribute to less detonation. AutoMeter’s dual channel air temp gauge allows you to monitor the air temp before and after the intercooler, as well as allowing you to monitor the difference in temps. This lets you see if your intercooler is up to the task and ensuring you're not causing unnecessary harm. Configurable warning set points and peak recall provide crucial feedback that allows you to keep your eyes on the road. AutoMeter’s patented Pro-Control output enables you to set up the ground-controlled output to control intercooler sprayers or other devices.
Feature Points
  • Monitors both upstream and downstream intake air temperature to accurately measure intake tract/intercooler efficiency
  • Displays both pre and post intercooler as well as temperature difference
  • Configurable Pro-Control output allows gauge to control exterior auxiliary devices based on downstream temperature (intercooler sprayer, water/meth, etc
  • User programmable warning functi
  • Peak recall/memory
  • Display in Fahrenheit or Celsiu
  • Includes two 3/8” NPT threaded air temp sensors, 12ft long wire harness, mounting hardware, and detailed installation instructions
  • 12 and 16 volt compatible, works with nearly every street car or race car electrical system

QUESTIONS:

I have a 1/8 NPT port on my manifold after my supercharger and intercooler. It doesn't appear that Autometer even offers an air temp sensor in a 1/8 NPT thread size. Will a different intake sensor work with this gage?

Asked by: Caymen
If you send our Tech Support Team an email we can provide detailed resistance specs on the sender, but it's highly unlikely you'll find something else that has the exact same specs and connector, but in an 1/8" NPT size.

is it possible to hook it up with only one sensor after the intercooler and not hook up the other sensor.

Asked by: rrtstan
Hi, If you are planning on monitoring only one channel, you might want to simply mount the other sensor in the engine bay, and use the second channel for under hood temp monitoring. Thanks, Jim

Hello I am looking to use this gauge for just an ambient air temperature gauge. Does the gauge display temperature in celsius as well?

Asked by: Grant822
Thank you so much for contacting us. This gauge will indeed also read in metric. It's right on the first page of the instructions here: https://www.autometer.com/media/manual/2650-1847.pdf Hope this helps!

can it read below 100* F

Asked by: FirstZ7
Hi there, thank you for the question. We are in the process of correcting the website description, but these actually read down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

Hi, are the sensors an RTD (and resistance?) or a thermocouple (T, K, etc) type? Thanks,
