QUESTIONS:

i see no pdmf on install, can i get a drawing. i have a tach too i am sure the green wire goes from tach to light to source

Asked by: zman
This device is simply an LED array, typically used as a shift light for a tachometer already set up for this purpose. It is a direct plug in. It cannot accept a tach signal directly. Contact Tech Support at 866-248-6357 if you need further assistance.

will this light work on a 2013 Harley Street Bob 103

Asked by: ????
Thank you for your inquiry. The 5332 is simply an LED array in a tube. It requires another device to trigger it, such as a temperature or pressure or RPM activated switch. It is not recommended for motorcycle use.

Can I use this as a oil pressure warning light, By using a 12v feed a ground from oil pressure switch

Asked by: Ryan316
Thank you for your inquiry The 5332 Super Lite can be used as an oil pressure warning light. Be aware this light uses LED's, therefore is polarity sensitive. The 12 volt wire will have a white stripe, and the ground wire will be solid black. Reversed polarity in powering this light may cause damage to it.

im thinking of using this on my bike HD Sportster. What id the diameter of the light?

Asked by: martinsportster
Thank you for the question. Here are the full specs on the 5332 Super Light: 5" x 3" x 1.625" diameter. Keep in mind this is a light only and would require an RPM switch like mode 5312 to activate which would not work on later model CAN-bus bikes.

Is a mating connector available? What is the pin assignment?

Asked by: Paul J
Hi Paul, thank you for the question. The closest we would have to offering just the connector would be this 3' extension model 3257: https://www.autometer.com/quick-lite-3-ft-extension-wire-w-connectors.html With the connector cut off it could be wired into a non-AutoMeter brand RPM switch. On the Shift Light there is a smooth black, which is ground, then the 12V wire will be designated by a ribbed wire or white stripe.

My shift light flashes on when I turn on the battery switch only when the brightness switch is in the middle position.  Is that normal and does that mean it will only light in that position under race conditions? I am using a racepak.

Asked by: Art.L
Hi Art, thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately, the light has no real intelligence of its own. Any function that is has would be dictated by the settings on the device controlling it. As we make our own data systems and dash displays, I don't have any familiarity with Racepak. I would recommend reaching out to them to see when and how their device triggers the shift light. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
