Thank you for your inquiry. The female end of the 2270 is 5/8-18 UNF. it is specifically designed to accept the permanent sealing nut attached to all of our mechanical temp gauges.

We do not offer a 3/8" NPT Male to Female adapter, though that's something that is readily available in the plumbing hardware section of any hardware store. It is important to note that an AutoMeter mechanical temp gauge DOES NOT use 3/8" NPT male threads on the sealing nut. Those are 5/8-18 UNF with a tapered cup mounting point.
